No work, and a little play, makes Deana a less dull girl

Welcome to the debut post of my freshly created blog...

Given work is PAINFULLY slow, I've decided it's high time I find a means to let my creative juices flow a bit, before they turn into a putrid puddle of waste. I fear it may already be happening, because I'm not entirely certain what my focus is here. It's challenging to write anything when you're not sure what to write about. But alas, I'm sure you'll bear with me while I get it all sorted. I promise that eventually I'll rediscover my voice and you'll come to appreciate my irreverent (usually), quirky (certainly), titillating (occasionally), rambling (oft), self-effacing (you think?), enlightening (if you're lucky) and engaging (if you're as bored as I am) drivel.

So, what might you expect to find here? Well, anything I feel like, really (I'm as self-important as the next blogger, after all): concert, album and song reviews, pop-culture commentary, random bitching and/or delighting about work, friends, family and life in general. Maybe you'll even see the occasional poem (haven't hashed one of those out in a while), short story, or if it's a particularly pathetic post - a press release, biography, or fact sheet that I'm really freakin' proud of - I am a publicist after all.

And with that, gentle reader, I conclude my premiere post for the Aural Gratification blog. It's time to go determine which b-list celebrities we're going to bribe with free laptops if they agree to show up to a gifting suite in LA (while the a-listers are all hamming it up at Sundance) in hopes of getting our client some cheap tabloid press - god, I love my job!

Stay tuned...
